Coffee & Maple Peanut Butter Blossoms

This weekend I decided to take the classic peanut butter blossoms recipe and put a little twist on it. First, I replaced some of the usual ingredients with some more nutritious ones. Then, instead of using plain old peanut butter, I used @fixandfogg ‘s coffee and maple peanut butter!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6 tbsp olive oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/4 c unsweetened applesauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/4 c sugar (plus extra for rolling)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/4 c brown sugar⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp baking soda⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 tsp kosher salt⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3/4 c @fixandfogg coffee and maple peanut butter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp maple syrup⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 1/2 c flour⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
20 Hershey’s Kisses⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Directions:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Preheat oven to 375.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except the flour and Hershey’s Kisses.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Gradually mix in the flour. Mix until combined well.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Place some sugar on a plate.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and roll in the sugar. Place on a cookie sheet.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Once all the dough has been rolled into the sugar and placed on the cookie sheet, bake for 10-12 minutes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
7. While the cookies are baking unwrap the Hershey’s Kisses.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
8. Immediately after taking the cookies out of the oven, press the Hershey’s Kisses into the center of the cookie.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
9. Place the cookies in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
